Noosa Main oval drainage update

With the seasons end becoming closer and closer we want to keep everyone updated on the current situation of the drainage works due to happen to our main oval on Weyba road. 

President Rob Purves has released this statement regarding the drainage grant and works to be completed.

" As all members are aware the Club received a Grant to update Drainage to oval, the following is the processes to have all works completed and oval back to full use-

1. Tender Design Completed and tenders sent out to Contractors- 20/7/20
2. Tenders closed 14/8/20
3. 17/8/20 – 4/9/20 – Liaise with contractors on finalising pricing and design.
4. 7/9/20 – 18/9/20 – Sign formal contracts.
5. 21/9/20 – 30/9/20- Contractor to mobilise for commencement 1/10/20

Following completion of all works approximately 4 weeks weather permitting the Oval will be closed until End February 2021 to enable oval to recover and new turf to establish.

The Noosa Tigers are extremely excited to get these works underway and completed for usage in the 2021 season, creating a better playing surface and one that can handle the rainfall here in Noosa therefore giving the club the best chance for usage all year round and increased exposure to other avenues.
